Filmmaking
Throughout my studies, I had a number of opportunities to work on different film sets and explore various roles in the camera department. Find out more below about some of my favourite projects with BTS content!
Reticence (Dir. Ben Ryan) April 2024

This short psychological thriller was part of my Final Major Project at University, where we looked at themes of loneliness and the difficulty to connect with other humans. Taking on the Director of Photography role, I've faced various responsibilities and challenges throughout the production. This project has taught me resilience in the first place, and the importance of leading a team to achieve our overall goal. Furthermore, I've learned that I still have a long way to even start to understand the arts of cinematography. I'm grateful for the experience and the lessons I've learned from my lecturers and fellow peers.
A short film exploring immigration and chasing dreams in a different world. On this project I took on the responsibilities of the lighting department as a Gaffer, where I've worked closely with the DP and Director to light the scenes.

This thought-provoking directorial deput follows our protagonist, Jacob as he is being hunted across the forest. My role as a 1st Assistant Camera wasn't just about pulling focus, but also helping the set up of the camera, changing lenses, managing the memory cards and keeping an eye on all the batteries- both on the camera and across the wireless transmitting systems. This project gave me the opportunity to work with people with years of experience in the industry and on a completely independent set.
Rock-A-Bye (Dir. Spencer Andreson) October 2023
This was one of the first opportunities for me to step onto an industry standard set. I felt honored when the Director reached out to me directly and got me involved as a 2nd Assistant Camera. This role has allowed me to observe and learn from the experienced crew from the industry. A year later this short film has been nominated to a number of film festivals.

During my studies at Solent University, I was part of Sonar Events, the student led TV society, where I've gained experience in the TV industry. I've mainly participated as the roaming camera operator for the Basketball matches, hosted at our university. These games were broadcasted on Basketball England's YouTube channel and saw notable recognition in the industry.
